After the loss of a beloved pet, many will question what they could do and how they could help with a meaningful tribute of how to honor the memories of a cherished family pet.
Have you ever wondered how can one person really could make a difference in helping to save a life of a family pet?
We are happy to tell you, if you are interested. You can help!
Let us explain........
On evening while watching our local news station, WLOX TV, we watched an unfortunate story from Gulfport, where a house had caught fire. Not only did this family loose their home, but this family lost their family pet because of too much smoke inhalation.
At that time, we as a family realized that something very important was missing from our Mississippi Gulf Coast Fire Departments.
On June 11, 2008 our family set a MS Gulf Coast wide fund raising goal to help raise money to purchase and DONATE Pet Oxygen Recovery Mask sets to all of our MS Gulf Coast Fire Departments and Rescue K9 Units.
The cone-shaped plastic masks, which come in three different sizes and fit snugly on snouts, can resuscitate animals suffering from smoke inhalation. This mask set is so versatile, it should take care of just about any air breathing animal species from a tiny bird or reptile to a St. Bernard. The masks are economical, reusable, sturdy and easily cleaned, plus it has a 2 year manufacturer warranty.
Included with the set of three different sized reusable masks
is the 22 mm oxygen tubing for each individual mask.

These much needed life saving devices are a comfort to know that while we are at home, work, or anywhere that should the need arise, that our MS Gulf Coast Fire Departments have what they need to save a pet's life.
Pets are family too!
Not only is making a donation the right thing to do, if possible, and a comfort to know, but is an excellent way to memorialize and honor a beloved pet that has passed away.
Any monetary amount that is donated is greatly appreciated, it all adds up!
We are proud to say that since we started this campaign,
We have donated 98 sets of these life-saving devices to
fire stations in Jackson, Harrison, Hancock and Stone Counties in Mississippi.
Every fire station that has received their Pet Oxygen Recovery Mask Set, are very thankful for the donation.
Many of them said "We could have used them when..."
We are also thankful to know that for those that have been used, they have all been success stories!
Again, making any monetary amount of a donation is not only the "right thing to do", or another excellent reason is making a donation in memory and honor of a beloved pet that has passed away.
The pet oxygen recovery mask campaign is also a wonderful way to perform and involve the community with volunteering efforts or monetary donation efforts.
